Nepal Street Animal Rescue is a 501(c)(3) charitable corporation working to stop the suffering of the estimated 35,000 abandoned street animals in the Kathmandu Valley area. Our mission is to build a comprehensive animal care and adoption facility that will interface with governmental and educational authorities to manage animal reproduction, vaccinate and treat curable ailments, introduce pet adoption and education programs, as well as humanely manage the sick, dying and severely injured.

Sensitive to Nepal’s cultural and religious traditions, this new facility will be staffed by veterinary professionals and volunteers from Nepal and the U.S. to carry out the goals and objectives of our mission.

Nepal Street Animal Rescue (NSAR) will utilize the World Health Organization’s proven ABC Animal Birth Control and Anti-Rabies Vaccination Program, coupled with the aggressive treatment of curable diseases and injuries.

In addition, an educational outreach to the Nepali population (particularly those of school age) will create awareness of our mission, build understanding of its important goals, and ultimately provide safe, loving homes to these long ignored animals.
